The storage clock: 120 free days against 90 plus a paid 30
Basetao's homepage said on 19 October 2026 that all items are stored for 120 days free of charge, so you can wait until every order has arrived and ship once. LitBuy's rule is different in shape. Free storage lasts 90 days from the day an item is stocked. From day 91 a daily fee applies, set at 0.2% of the item price with a ¥1 floor and a ¥300 monthly ceiling per item. Fees left unpaid for over a month lead to disposal, and the interface marks anything older than 120 days as discarded.
For an assumed start date, say an item stocked on 9 November 2026, the free window at LitBuy ends on 7 February 2027, and day 120 falls on 9 March 2027, which is also where Basetao's free window ends. What you pay for in between depends on the item price.
| Assumed item price | Daily charge | 30 days | About in euros | Basetao, same days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ¥159 | ¥1 (minimum) | ¥30 | €3.60 | Free |
| ¥399 | ¥1 (minimum) | ¥30 | €3.60 | Free |
| ¥1,200 | ¥2.40 | ¥72 | €8.64 | Free |
| ¥4,000 | ¥8 | ¥240 | €28.80 | Free |
The cheap rows barely notice the difference; the dear rows do. LitBuy's own help text uses ¥4,000 at ¥8 a day as an example, which matches the last line. Our LitBuy warehouse page gives the reminders and the disposal rule in full.
Basetao's longer window saves about €3.60 on a ¥159 item and about €28.80 on a ¥4,000 one.
What Basetao says about itself, and what we could not check
We labelled Basetao Open because the page worked on 19 October 2026 and nothing credible points to a closure. The page sells three services, Shop for me, Ship for me (forwarding your own purchases to its warehouse) and Search for me. It lists combined orders, split orders, reinforced packing and help sending items to an Amazon FBA warehouse. Returns and exchanges are offered only with the seller's permission.
The homepage counters read 185K+ customers, about 1,975K+ orders and 311K+ parcels. They are undated and unaudited. The founding year is unverified in our notes, and no Trustpilot figure is recorded either. We also found no percentage service fee on its pages when we read them on 5 to 6 October 2026, but "found none" is weaker than "none exists": ask what an order will cost before you fund it.
Basetao is Open and feature-rich on paper, with scale claims nobody has verified.
Moving a Weidian row into Basetao's long address
LitBuy's link is https://www.litbuy.com/product/<code>/<id>; the digit is a marketplace tag (JD takes 3, Weidian 2, Taobao 1, 1688 0). Our earlier notes record Basetao's format as basetao.com/best-taobao-agent-service/products/agent/weidian/<id>.html. Only the Weidian pattern is recorded, and we have not re-tested it since.
- Copy the number after
/product/2/in the LitBuy link. - Drop it into the pattern where <id> sits.
- Open the page and read price and stock.
- For 1688 or Taobao rows, rebuild the marketplace original instead,
https://detail.1688.com/offer/<id>.htmlfor 1688 andhttps://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=<id>for Taobao, then use Basetao's search box.
The homepage search also has Link, Image and Keyword tabs, which helps when a spreadsheet row carries only a photo. Before you commit a haul, load one row through both agents and compare the page price with the LitBuy price, because agents convert yuan at their own rates and LitBuy says it uses a Bank-of-China-based rate. Our LitBuy link converter rebuilds the LitBuy side.
The Weidian pattern is simple; every other platform goes through the search box.

Demand: France first, Germany last of the top six
Semrush's September 2026 figures put basetao at about 17,200 monthly searches worldwide. France leads with 2,400, then Lithuania and the US at 1,900, the UK at 1,300, the Netherlands at 1,000 and Germany at 880. A search for "basetao spreadsheet" in the US ran at about 30 a month. LitBuy drew about 22,200 searches in Germany, so Basetao's German audience is roughly 4% of that, and in France about a fifth of LitBuy's 12,100.
That profile suggests Basetao is a niche choice for buyers who collect rows over months. If that is you, read our agents hub to see how it ranks against others, and the OrientDig page for another long-storage option.
Basetao draws small German demand and suits patient collectors more than first-timers.
A 2 kg parcel on the LitBuy side for comparison
Basetao's shipping rates are unknown to us, so we leave them out. For 2,000 g to Germany, LitBuy's cheapest line (LIT-Economy-DHL-DE) listed €38.75 ($43.53) in the 19 October 2026 estimator run (a pre-promotion figure; the line is Tax free, runs 10 to 15 working days and contains the €3 EU prepayment). Parcels submitted after that 25 October 2026 deadline add €2.
Assumed haul: two pairs of jeans at ¥599 in total, assumed 1.8 kg packed
Goods at ¥1 ≈ €0.12 (about)€71.88
LitBuy 2 kg band, list price€38.75
EU €2 charge, new from the cut-off€2.00
All-in LitBuy price, before coupons€112.63
Replace the middle two lines with Basetao's estimator figure for the same weight and compare totals. Settle each order on the day you place it, rather than leaving money at any agent while you wait for the rest of a haul. See our LitBuy spreadsheet for the starting list and LitBuy shipping cost for every weight band.
A long storage window only pays if the parcel total, not just the wait, comes out lower.
Basetao and LitBuy: what slow-haul buyers ask
Is Basetao's 120 days really better than LitBuy's 90?
It is longer, but the gap is smaller than it sounds. LitBuy gives 90 free days and keeps an item until day 120 for a daily charge, at least ¥1. On an assumed ¥159 item the last 30 days cost ¥30, about €3.60. For a ¥1,200 item the same 30 days cost ¥72, about €8.64, so expensive rows gain more from Basetao.
Does Basetao really charge nothing for extra QC pictures?
Its homepage said on 19 October 2026 that a few free pictures are uploaded automatically and "no extra fee for additional pictures". LitBuy's help centre says 3 to 6 routine photos come standard and each custom photo costs ¥1. Ten extra photos would cost ¥10, about €1.20, at LitBuy. We did not test either request process.
What is the Basetao measurement service?
Per its homepage on 19 October 2026, the warehouse team will measure a clothing item for a 1.5 CNY handling fee, about €0.18. LitBuy's counterpart for sizing is a custom photo at ¥1, or a measuring request through support, whose price we could not find. Neither replaces a size chart, but a tape measure reading helps most with jeans and jackets.
Does a LitBuy Weidian link convert to a Basetao link?
Yes. Our notes record basetao.com/best-taobao-agent-service/products/agent/weidian/{id}.html. Copy the digits that follow /product/2/ in the LitBuy link, drop them in place of {id}, and load the page to check price and stock. Not re-tested on 19 October 2026. For Taobao and 1688 rows we recorded no pattern, so paste the original link into Basetao's search box.
Why is Basetao searched mostly in France?
In Semrush's September 2026 export France is basetao's top market at about 2,400 monthly searches, then Lithuania and the US at 1,900 each. Germany is at 880 and the UK at 1,300. So French buyers search for it most. For a German address that matters little; compare an estimator total against LitBuy's €24.12 for 1 kg.
How much should I trust the numbers on Basetao's homepage?
Treat them as claims. The page showed 185K+ happy customers, about 1,975K+ orders and 311K+ delivered parcels on 19 October 2026, with no dates or audit. We could not verify its founding year either. The counters show scale, not quality, so rely on a small first order and a recent review check instead.
