Taobao rows in a LitBuy sheet: the link code, the Tmall and JD cases, and the euro bill to Germany

Taobao in LitBuy: one number after /product/

A Taobao listing is one of the four sources LitBuy opens without any detour. Every marketplace has a number in LitBuy's links, and Taobao's is 1. Take the item number from the original Taobao address, put it after litbuy.com/product/1/ and the row loads as a LitBuy product page. We read the code mapping from litbuy.com's own scripts on 19 October 2026 and loaded one Taobao test item the same day. The page showed the seller's price in yuan with a dollar equivalent, stock, and estimated dates for the seller's dispatch and the arrival at LitBuy's warehouse in Xiamen.

Alibaba Group owns Taobao and Tmall; JD.com owns JD. If your sheet gives LitBuy links already, the number after the code is the Taobao ID and you can recover the original with our link converter.

Code 1 covers Taobao and Tmall; code 3 covers JD; the ID is what matters.

Tmall and JD rows: what changes

For the buyer in Germany, a Tmall row should behave like a Taobao row at LitBuy (we did not test a Tmall link): same code, same warehouse, same shipping quote. Only the seller differs, and LitBuy publishes no statistic on how Tmall and Taobao shops compare. JD rows may be rarer in sheets. Do not confuse the Chinese JD with Joybuy, JD.com's European shop, launched on 16 March 2026 for six countries including Germany; it posts parcels to you itself and has its own Joybuy page on this site.

Treat Tmall as Taobao and JD as a different seller class; both reach LitBuy in the same way.

Turning a pasted Taobao link into a LitBuy row

Most sheets hand you a wrapped link from some other agent. The ID is the stable part, so strip the wrapper and rebuild.

1. Open the row and copy the full address, not the shortened share text.
2. Find id= in the address and copy the digits after it.
3. Decide the platform: item.taobao.com or detail.tmall.com is code 1, item.jd.com is code 3.
4. Write https://www.litbuy.com/product/1/<digits>, or paste the original link into LitBuy's search box.
5. Check the page: price, stock and a warehouse date mean the row is live; an empty frame means the item left the shelf.

If an inviteCode parameter hangs off a link, it belongs to whoever built the sheet and may earn them commission; deleting it does not break the link. The columns that make a row useful beyond the link are in our LitBuy spreadsheet template.

Keep the ID in its own column and regenerate links from it.

A Taobao haul priced to a German door

The item prices here are invented for illustration and the weights are assumptions; only the freight line is real. LitBuy's estimator put €24.12 ($27.10) for a 1,000 g parcel to Germany (LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, read 19 October 2026), a figure that already includes the ¥24 EU prepayment, LitBuy's flat €3 per parcel. Because the parcel is submitted after 25 October 2026, we add the €2 handling fee.

International freight and fees are €26.12 of that, 44.1% of the whole bill, for a parcel of about 0.95 kg. LitBuy's new-user banner showed a promotional 1 kg figure of €18.29, which is €5.83 less, but the coupon appears to cut only part of the fee and is not guaranteed to every buyer. The same Taobao parcel to France, the US and the UK

These are the cheapest tax-free lines at the three weights we read on 19 October 2026, list prices before any promotion. Germany comes first because this site is written for buyers there.

The German and French prices carry the €3 prepayment; the US and UK lines do not have that line. Our Berlin page repeats the German case with a two-item haul.

Germany and France sit 37 cents apart at 1 kg; the US costs far more per kilo.

What the border adds for Taobao parcels in the EU

Germany charges 19% import VAT from the first euro, and a temporary flat €3 customs duty has applied since 1 July 2026 per tariff category in a small parcel worth up to €150. On LitBuy's tax-free lines, LitBuy pays duty and VAT under its Shipping Policy and charges its own flat €3 per parcel, shown as ¥24 in the estimator. A jacket and a cap are two categories, which the EU's own rule would price at €6, but LitBuy says it charges €3 per parcel regardless; check that your checkout still shows that flat figure.

On the one Germany line without that label, HF-EMS-DE, you owe VAT and any duty on delivery, plus a clearance charge. That line quoted €44.05 at 1 kg on 19 October 2026, with a stated 12–25 working days. For customs holds and what to do, see LitBuy customs.

Prefer a tax-free line unless you want to pay VAT and clearance at the door.

Where Taobao rows go wrong

A listing may be out of stock or removed, or the seller may add domestic shipping that the sheet left out. LitBuy's storage clock starts when the item is stocked: 90 days are free, then a daily fee of 0.2% of the price paid applies, at no less than ¥1 per item per day. Taobao questions from LitBuy buyers

How do I tell a Taobao row from a Tmall row in my sheet?

Look at the domain in the original link. Taobao items sit on item.taobao.com and Tmall items on detail.tmall.com, both followed by id= and the item number. We expect LitBuy to treat both as code 1 (we tested only a Taobao link), so the number goes after litbuy.com/product/1/. Tmall is the brand-store side of the same Alibaba Group family.

Does LitBuy take JD.com links in a Taobao-style sheet?

Yes, LitBuy's link mapping lists JD as code 3, so item.jd.com/ followed by the number becomes litbuy.com/product/3/ and the number. We read that mapping in litbuy.com's code on 19 October 2026. JD is a separate company from Taobao and should not be mixed up with Joybuy, JD's own European shop, which ships to you directly.

What did the Taobao test item show when we loaded it?

On 19 October 2026 we opened litbuy.com/product/1/972753749417, a Taobao Halloween decoration. LitBuy displayed CNY 18.61 (about USD 3.29), stock, an estimated seller shipment date of 21 October and an expected warehouse arrival of 26 October. That is the ordinary pattern: seller price first, a warehouse date second, and no international freight until you build a parcel.

How many Taobao items fit into the 1 kg German quote?

That depends on weights we cannot measure, so use your own. LitBuy's estimator put €24.12 ($27.10) for a 1,000 g parcel on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE on 19 October 2026. Our example assumed a 0.8 kg jacket and a 0.15 kg cap, which fits. Add the €2 fee for parcels submitted after 25 October 2026 and check the volumetric weight before you pay.

Can I return a Taobao item to the seller through LitBuy?

Only early. LitBuy's help centre allows a return request within five days (120 hours) after the item is stored, and only if the seller offers returns and the item is resalable. The unconditional return costs seller-to-warehouse shipping both ways plus a ¥5 service fee, about €0.60 at ¥1 ≈ €0.12. After the parcel leaves China, support approval comes first.
